Mellow & Barbers are excellent at what they do. We have seen Ian a few times now and he is fantastic with adults and kids.
I've been getting my hair cut by Ronnie at Mellow, and he does an absolutely incredible job every time. His attention to detail is next level—he gives me the cleanest, tightest bald fade I’ve ever had. He really understands how to shape a cut to fit my face and hair type, making sure everything blends perfectly. The shop itself has a chill, welcoming vibe, which makes the whole experience even better. If you want a barber who actually listens and delivers flawless cuts, Ronnie is your guy. Highly recommend!

Easily one of the best haircuts I have ever had! Kiara was professional and very patient. She took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted and continually checked in to make sure the haircut was going in the right direction. Just had my haircut with Kiara. I don't often leave reviews but she did an outstanding job. I've been to several places in SF over the last three years. Some good, some great, and few that were not so great. The last cut I had from some other place was terrible, but Kiara fixed me up. She's talented and considerate. Highly recommend.
Kiara gives awesome cuts here. She cut my hair at another shop for a couple years before taking some time off. She is a great barber. Will give you exactly what you ask for. She has done short fades and also maintained long hair styles for me. Razor skills on point. Local gal too. This shop is nice, clean, easy to book.
Got an excellent cut here from Ian. I have difficult curly hair, and Ian was knowledgeable on how to cut and manage it, gave me options throughout as well as his opinion, and managed to achieve the exact look I was going for (when several consecutive haircuts prior have not been able to). Definitely will be going back!

Big fan of both Mellow & Barbers and Jordan. Love the location and space on Fillmore. Jordan has also been cutting my hair for 3 years - he consistently does a great job every time and I’m always happy with my haircut. He’s great with clippers and scissors, and has worked with me on a variety of styles.

hit or miss. nich is awesome but the other cuts i’ve done have had issues. that shouldn’t happen if you’re paying $70 for a cut.

This was a great barber shop. However, I’m bummed that in less than a year, they raised their prices several times. I think it started at $50, then $60, then $65, now $70-$75.
10/10 reccomend this barbershop - very skilled barbers with strong attention to details. I also felt very welcome and “local” (although I’m not).I had mid-rise skin fade done and it was perfect.
Got a really nice haircut for the first time here. Took about an hour. Only paid $50! So amazing value. It's hard to find anywhere in SF willing to cut hair for less than $70. Will be back.

I just started growing my hair back out after a few years of buzz cuts. It got to a point where it was just looking like a mess and I had a wedding coming up. Jonah understood the assignment and gave me a great cut that I could walk out with and grow into. Very chill shop and everyone in there was super nice. My husband and I just moved the SF and I was really dreading finding another barber but M&B killed it. Their website is super easy to navigate, they offer online booking where you can select a specific barber or go first available. I did first available and was luckily placed with Vu. He did a fantastic job on my cut, and I had several compliments with in an hour of getting out of the chair. Very happy with my overall experience and end result, see you soon!
Jordan is an amazing barber. It took me awhile to find the right person. Jordan remembers my preferences, has amazing attention to detail, and gives me the perfect cut each time.I’m happy he moved to Mellow. Makes the experience even better. The space is sleek, stylish and calm. Will only be coming here from now on to see Jordan.

Had an awesome experience with Jonah. I noticed the shop as the Judah train stops right in front, super convenient. I was a little nervous being my first time there, but he was super laid back, easy to talk to, and best of all gave a killer haircut. He’s definitely going to be my go-to barber now. Highly recommend Jonah.

I stopped in for a beard trim while on vacation. Shout out to Melissa, she did a great job - and made the always weird interaction of going to a barbershop for the first (and in this case, probably only) time easy and fun. If I'm in SF in need of a cut, I'll definitely return.
The barbershop is a wonderful, relaxing environment. Welcoming to everyone. I get my cut by Orion and he’s excellent. Very attentive and listens to what I’m hoping to get out of a cut.

Barbers have beautiful and spacious work stations with the latest equipment, along with an assortment of tonics, gels, pomades, and the like.I suggest making an appointment on the website before you go in, although walk-ins are welcome. If you're driving, try to arrive 10 min. early to find parking. Check the website for the most updated hours because there seems to be appointments available on Sundays.There are restrooms available and they accept credit cards and mobile payments. Barbers can cut any hair type so you don't have to worry about finding someone who specializes in your hair.I saw Nich today and he did what I consider to be a perfect haircut. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and communicated my preferences and he delivered in spectacular fashion. Prices are reasonable, especially for the high quality service you receive.The whole experience was comfortable, friendly, and satisfying. I popped out of the shop on a sunny Saturday morning with a fresh cut that turned heads as I walked back to my car. Mellow & Barbers is for sure my new shop!~

Great experience! It was my first time visiting and I got an appointment with Jonah. After a quick consultation, he did a real nice job cleaning up my facial hair. Clean shop, nice atmosphere, and great work. Definitely plan on going back!

I have never grown a beard before, but my husband convinced me not to shave for a week, and the feedback from friends convinced me to try it for a month. After the second week, however, it was getting pretty ragged, so I made an appointment and Mellow & Barbers. Jonah did an awesome job with my first ever trim and maintenance. I don't know if I will keep my beard, but I do know I will be going back again to M & B!

This is a great barber shop that just opened up a couple months ago, but is staffed with experienced barbers. My stylist, Melissa moved over to this shop recently, however I have been getting my hair cut exclusively from her since 2017! She is just that good! Great at listening at how I would like to get my hair cut and also advising me on changes too.I can’t overstate how much she has done for my hair style over the years! Also this barber shop is well appointed and very stylish. It is located right off of the N-Muni in Cole Valley so it is pretty convenient.
